Prof Amit Thapa not only introduced use of point of care ultrasound (POCUS) in neurosurgical practice but also was instrumental in proliferating its use in emergency departments and ICU.
Having conducted many course and hands-on workshops both inside and outside the country, he has shown that this technique could be easily picked up by doctors and used for patient care enhancing the precision and quality of interventions and resuscitations.
