Prof Amit Thapa was nominated as World Federation of Neurological Societies (WFNS) peripheral nerve committee member in April 2024 by WFNS Education and Training Committee for his contribution in starting and excelling in peripheral nerve surgeries in the region. This is the first time, a Nepalese neurosurgeon has been nominated to this position. The committee aims to train new generations of neurosurgeons who will contribute to integrate peripheral nerve surgery in their practice.
